After two years and five months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) is ready to receive more than 400 thousand students who will start the new school year this coming Monday, August 8, 100% in person. The UNAM reported that the students will begin their activities in person at schools, institutes, faculties and centers throughout the country.

According to the general secretary of UNAM, Leonardo Lomelí Venegas, the return to campus is safe since it is thought to be certain that the students are vaccinated against the virus. COVID-19. On the other hand, Lomelí Vanegas recalled the inauguration of two new degrees: Tourism and Sustainable Development, at the National School of Higher Studies (ENES) León Unit; and Mathematics for Development, at ENES Juriquilla.
