As soon as he felt the stinking smoke a few meters from his apartment in downtown Rosario, Mayor Pablo Javkin himself went up to the terrace this afternoon to take pictures of new sources of fire on the islands, in front of the city. “This has just happened. Go now. There are the criminals who caught it,” the community chief urged on his Twitter account and remarked that there is a systematic burning. In addition, he stressed that the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Juan Cabandié, “is distant, when in reality he needs to be on the ground, to work more together.”
This Sunday the city woke up impregnated with smoke as a result of a burning that had broken out at the height of San Nicolás. That orange cloud remained floating like a poisonous stain on the Rosario sky, but in the afternoon another factor was added that distorted the day, with the parks full of neighbors enjoying a pleasant temperature to be outdoors.
The director of Civil Protection of the province, Roberto Rioja, confirmed the presence of outbreaks in front of Rosario and explained that they are working with hydrant planes and brigade members to try to suffocate them.

“This was turned on in the afternoon, now they are beginning to work with brigadistas and it is not that the operations are not carried out, but we are always in the same situation. The headlights and warning systems do not serve the concrete effect, we have said it here fed up, what is needed is for the Federal Justice based in Entre Ríos to act, which until now has given us zero response,” Javkin told this newspaper
The community chief believes at this point that with the thousands of hectares burned and damaged in the midst of an unprecedented Ecocide in the Wetland, that the agricultural producers send them to burn would no longer make much sense. “If August is the traditional month of burning, it will be more complex and therefore we are going to need more prevention and action from the Nation,” he remarked.

The satellite image in Rosario did not show fires in front of the city. Then they began to appear, as reported by Javkin.
Precisely, when asked about Cabandié’s role, he indicated that “he is distant, he is not on the ground, perhaps he can show concern but they have to go to Entre Ríos and take the magnitude of the problem.”
Situation Status Fires Delta del Paraná
The government of the province of Santa Fe reported that this Sunday three sources of fire are active in the Paraná Delta: in front of Rosario, Pueblo Esther and San Nicolás.
After the surveillance flights and the corresponding monitoring, the outbreaks that were detected were attacked from an interprovincial operation set up in the town of Alvear (Santa Fe), in coordination with the National Fire Management Service.
In turn, the focus continued to be active in front of the town of San Nicolás, in Entre Ríos territory, which is being worked on from an operation in San Pedro (Buenos Aires).
This Monday the operations will continue to combat the active outbreaks.
