Through his Twitter account, the president-elect appointed Néstor Osuna, an Externado lawyer and former magistrate of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, as Minister of Justice. Likewise, Catalina Velasco, an expert in habitat and planning, will be the Minister of Housing.

Néstor Iván Osuna is a lawyer graduated from the Externado University of Colombia and holds a doctorate in law from the University of Salamanca.

In addition, he has been a visiting researcher at the Institute of Legal Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico since 1988, and has been a visiting professor at the Carlos III University of Madrid since 2005.

He has been a co-judge of the Colombian Constitutional Court, between 2005 and 2010, and a member of the Ibero-American Institute of Constitutional Law, as well as a registered researcher in Colciencias with a 1-A rating.

He has been Director of the Department of Constitutional Law of the Externado de Colombia University and currently works as a professor of the chair of constitutional law.

The Minister of Housing will be Catalina Velasco Campuzano, a woman expert in habitat and planning. One of her responsibilities will be to lead a true public policy for social housing in Colombia, “added Petro in another publication.

Velasco is an economist from the Universidad de los Andes and a specialist in urban law from the Universidad Javeriana. He has a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Michigan.
