“Atipanakuy”, which means “Competition” in Quechua, is an album under the Akashic Peru label that summarizes a conceptual work inspired by the costumbrista tradition of scissors dance.
“It is a project that links music, popular art, crafts, silverware and the entire environment with which I lived to bring it to a joint art. The development of the songs goes from the deepest to the different expressions of urban music”specifies Kayfex of this musical adventure with the Akashic Peru label that bears his personal stamp.

This is a song inspired by the story “The Agony of Rasu Ñiti”, by the Peruvian writer José María Arguedas composed by Ale Alberti, Isabela Merced and Justin Tranter (composer of Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Linkin Park, Selena Gomez) and fused with tones of the “Dance of Scissors”.
The official video clip has multiple references to traditional Peruvian art, under the direction of Gustavo Ramírez, recorded in the city of Ayacucho, and achieved more than a million views just one month after its release.
