At the close of yesterday, August 5, a total of 749 patients have been admitted, 270 suspected and 479 confirmed active.

For COVID-19, a total of 2,419 samples were taken for surveillance, with 85 being positive for 3.5% positivity. The country accumulates 14 million 047 thousand 530 samples carried out and 1 million 108 thousand 706 positives (7.9%).

Of the total number of cases, 85: 68 were contacts of confirmed cases, 2 with a source of infection abroad and 15 without a specified source of infection. Of the 85 cases diagnosed, 40 were female and 45 male.

7.1% (6) of the 85 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 147,322, which represents 13.3% of those confirmed to date.

Of the 85 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years of age (41), from 20 to 39 years of age (18), from 40 to 59 years of age (12), and from 60 and over (14).
