So far, Ronald Acuña Jr.’s offensive season has been a little below the statistical level to which he accustomed us in his first four seasons in the Major Leagues. Prior to Friday’s game, he had a .256 batting average, a .354 on-base percentage, a .396 slugging percentage and a .750 OPS in 70 games played.
In this regard, the manager of the Atlanta Braves, Brian Snitker, pointed out that it is “easier said (improve) than done.”
In this sense, the boss of the Tomahawks stressed the desire of everyone, and of the Venezuelan himself, to improve his figures: “everyone wants it and so does he.” To this he recalled the dangerous injury suffered by his outfielder last season: “That was major surgery. He will get over it. He is a tough boy. I think he’s doing very well in his ability to be able to handle all of that,” he stressed in a video released by Bally Sports South on his Twitter account.

As we said, for the one from La Sabana it is a relatively atypical situation because after 70 games in 2018, his numbers (in those same three sections) were .288, .351, .568 and .920. During 2019 they were .287, .366, .491 and .857; for 2020 (60-game season in the regular round) .250, .406, .581 and .987, while in 2021 he dropped .278, .388, .588 and .976.
