Peruvian actor Diego Bertie died this Friday, August 5 at the age of 54 after suffering a fatal accident when he fell from the 14th floor of the building where he lived.
The accident occurred at 4:00 in the morning and immediately, emergency paramedics and firefighters, who were alerted by the doorman of the condominium, arrived at the scene of the tragedy to transfer him to the Casimiro Ulloa Hospital.
For his part, fire chief Mario Casaretto detailed how the actor was after falling from the building located on the Miraflores boardwalk.
“The person Diego Bertie has been found in his garage with multiple fractures in his leg, in his back. He has been transferred to the Casimiro Ulloa hospital as a corpse, ”he explained.
According to the director of the Communications area of the clinic where he was treated, the artist died at 4:28 am In the same way, it was indicated that an official statement will be issued in the next few hours to clarify the details of the accident.
After the news of Bertie’s death, manager Carlos Sánchez de la Puente was shocked to learn of this loss.
“Diego is an angel living among us, he is the noblest guy I have ever worked with (…) We are united by a friendship with him, we scheduled his return to music, and it was incredibly good, people expected it, hugs him, kisses him. I am in shock, I have not spoken to anyone in the family yet, when we have more information we can talk in more detail, “he said.
Together, the representative explained that they had postponed the artist’s next presentations as a precaution, because he showed symptoms of coronavirus.
“Diego reported some symptoms of Covid-19 on Monday, we as a precaution (we canceled presentations), the cough and the rest were not going to let him sing, he was not in the best moment of his health. He was a very demanding artist with himself (sic)”, explained Sánchez de la Puente.
Another person who has expressed his sadness at the news is the Peruvian actor and musician Christian Meier, who was one of Bertie’s closest friends. “As a boy I wanted to be an actor for you.
