After six months in office, Oscar Graham will leave the Economy and Finance portfolio.
According to Management, this will be one of the changes in the Ministerial Cabinet that will be made official tonight.
Graham will be replaced by Kurt Burneo, who was Minister of Production in the administration of Ollanta Humala and was Vice Minister of Finance during the administration of Alejandro Toledo.
During the second round of the last presidential campaign, Burneo was invited to be part of the technical team of Peru Libre, a party for which Pedro Castillo applied, but after an initial meeting between the two, the economist rejected this possibility.
It should be remembered that Graham had replaced Pedro Francke in office.
During Graham’s administration, the minimum wage was increased from S/ 930 to S/ 1,025. Likewise, he had to face the impact of rising fuel and food prices. Faced with this, he ordered measures such as tax reductions for some of these products and had been preparing the so-called ‘food bonus’, which will be delivered in the coming weeks.
