The return of Luis Suarez The Uruguayan Nacional made a big impression on the fans, who hoped to see him celebrate a goal soon. Finally, the debut of the experienced striker with the nets took place this Friday, by placing the partial 3-0 against Rentistas, on the second date of the Closing Tournament.
The duel at the Gran Parque Central stadium in Montevideo was comfortably dominated by ‘Bolso’, after the goals of José Luis Rodríguez (3′) and Ignacio Ramírez (42′). Despite the favorable 2-0 on the scoreboard, coach Pablo Repetto did not want to be shocked in the complementary part and made some changes.
It was so, at the beginning of the second half, Luis Suárez entered the field, instead of Franco Fagundez. Since he set foot on the grass, the ‘Gunman’ was shifty, perhaps with full confidence that it could be his night, along with the massive number of Nacional fans who filled the imposing sports venue.
And the long-awaited goal of the former Barcelona player came, at 58 minutes, after a corner. Brian Ocampo raised the cross towards the edge of the small area and ‘Lucho’ finished off with a header, surprising goalkeeper Lucas Machado. Let us remember that this was the 35-year-old footballer’s second match with the ‘Dean’: he played the last 17 ′ in the defeat against Atlético Goianiense, at home, in the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana quarterfinals.

If the partial result is consummated, Nacional will climb to second position, with three points; while Rentistas remain in a critical situation, located in last place in the Clausura, without adding units. Let’s remember that the ‘Bolso’ comes from being champion of the Intermediate Tournament, by beating Liverpool in the final.
