Morena and the PAN have already discovered their “corcholatas” ahead of the elections in the State of Mexico in 2023, an entity in which the PRI will try to maintain one of the few bastions that remain.
This week, the National Regeneration Movement announced that the teacher Delfina Gómez, current Secretary of Education, ‘swept’ the recognition polls for what she will be in charge of coordinating the Defense Committees of the 4T in the State of Mexico, that is, she will be the party’s eventual candidate for governor.
The PAN did not wait too long to make its rooster known, because this Friday Marko Cortés, the blue and white leader, announced that Enrique Vargas Del Villar He will be the party’s representative in the 2023 electoral process.
Cuts stated that the former municipal president of Huixquilucan “He has shown that he knows how to win and govern.”
Cortés made no mention in his message of the PAN ‘comrades’ in the opposition alliance (PRI and PRD), so it seems that the coalition will not go together in the elections in the State of Mexico.
What do the polls say?
The most recent exercise done by The financial revealed that if the elections to elect the new governor of Edomex were “just around the corner”, Morena would monopolize 38 percent of the intention to vote, thus doubling the percentage of its closest pursuers, PRI and PAN, which would have 16 percent.
The other party of the ‘Va por México’ alliance, the PRD, had 7 percent of the intention to vote in the survey carried out between July 14 and 18.
Although it no longer seems likely, even if the PAN, PRI and PRD were in alliance they would not reach the votes of Morena and allies. According to the survey, the icing alliance (Morena, Green Party and PT) would have 48 percent of the votes, while the opposition, 39 percent.
The survey reveals that the most popular figure in the entity is Delfina Gómez, with a 37 percent favorable opinion, five points above the PRI member Ana Lilia Herrera, with a 32 percent positive opinion.
