María Fernanda Cabal spoke in an interview with Cambio magazine and did not leave a puppet with a head. The senator of the Democratic Center party distributed criticism left and right against several of the most important political figures in the country, especially Iván Duque and Gustavo Petro.
The differences that the congresswoman has expressed during the last time against the outgoing government are recognized, which he blames for the fact that the Democratic Center party is now a minority in Congress and has lost the presidential elections against Petro.
One of the most striking parts of the interview occurred when Cabal recognized a success for Petro, something that seemed impossible, taking into account that the senator is perhaps one of the staunchest opponents of the president-elect. The striking thing is that the compliment to the leader of the Historical Pact was the excuse to criticize Duque. “What I have to recognize Petro is that he is governing with his own, unlike Duque, who did not govern with those of the Democratic Center”said the senator.
Cabal also opined that Duque never realized the country he was presiding over. “It seems to me that Duque lacked the bureaucracy because Duque liked the bureaucracy like Santos […] It seems to me that he lacked bad laws”narrowed down

In any case, the senator also attacked the president-elect. “Each appointment [de Petro] it’s scarier, each appointment is more terrifying”she concluded.
Cabal will be one of the senators of the Democratic Center who will give the opposition speech to Petro next August 7, after the inauguration of the president-elect. She will take the floor together with Paloma Valencia and Paola Holguín.
This is the moment in which Cabal recognized Petro that he is right to govern with “his own”:
