Quite a lot of comments were generated by the People’s Party Strip, due to its similarities to a classic scene from the 80s.
This Friday the political space debuted in the face of the plebiscite on September 4. In this sense, in social networks a particular clip called attention that put the Party of the People in its time slot, which had many similarities with an iconic scene from the Chilean series Los 80.
The resemblance between the two is evident: a middle-class family having dinner at the table, two children arguing due to different worldviews and a father who raises his voice towards the end.
“With his mother we have taken the crest out of working”, indicated the man, referring directly to Juan Herrera (Daniel Muñoz).
Similarities of the Fringe and the 80s
That is one of the most remembered scenes of the Channel 13 series. There the young people in conflict were Claudia (Loreto Aravena) and Martin (Tomás Verdejo). The first was a medical student and close to the student movement, while her brother studied at the Aviation School.
The situation was repeated in the People’s Party clip, since the daughter was in favor of Approval, contrary to her brother who was in favor of Rejection.
The similarity was even more evident when the girl treated her relative as “facho poor”, while he responded by calling her “typical lefty”.
In the case of fiction, Claudia used to call her brother “Momio”, while he referred to her as “Comunista”.
It should be noted that the strip will have two schedules during the day. From 12:45 p.m. and in the afternoon at 8:45 p.m.
