Former soccer player Luis Núñez was found guilty of murder and a strong sentence is expected in his contract. His lawyer assures that the ex-crack is going through a bad time and demands for justice.
Last Wednesday Luis Nunezrenowned former national soccer player who shone in clubs such as Universidad Católica, was convicted of manslaughter for a cause of 2018.
‘Lucho Pato’, who claimed to be innocent all these years, ended up exploding in court for what he considers an injustice.
“I didn’t shoot him… Put on your pants, you cowardly motherfucker”, he yelled the excrack at another of the condemned after knowing that he was found guilty, causing some incidents in the room.
In this regard, Núñez’s lawyer, Juan Hernández, admitted in a conversation with La Tercera that the former athlete felt the blow and is going through a complicated moment. More after the Prosecutor’s Office requested 12 years in prison against him.
“When a person feels innocent, receiving a blow of this type is very strong,” said the jurist, detailing that his client “is desperate, destroyed, undone”.
Hernández, in addition, warned that, once the reading of the sentence is known -scheduled for August 15- he will request annulment.
“It is established that Luis Núñez did not shoot. But they understand that he did collaborate, when he arrived armed, according to the court, which considered him accredited with fairly low test evaluation criteria, “he explained.
The lawyer also remarked that “it is a court whose criteria for assessing evidence are quite low. This is not the first time he has punished an innocent person.”
Finally, Juan Hernández acknowledged that Núñez could go on a hunger strike again due to this situation.
