Chilean singer Mon Laferte revealed the bullying she suffered as a child because of her first name Norma and recounted the teasing her classmates made of her. “She hated calling me that when she was a kid. The name is like very hard, very strict. I feel like I struggle with not being so strict. I want to call myself Relax”, she joked in an interview conducted by the Mexican Youtuber, Roberto MTZ, where she also bagged her former TVN program, “Red, the color of talent”.

“They bullied me at school, a lot. They called me the Traffic Regulation, or the Safety Regulation, all the time they were bullying me with the name, so I hated calling myself Norma”, revealed Norma Monserrat Bustamante, saying that they gave her the same name as her mother and grandmother.
