Ramón Antonio Rojas sentenced to 18 years in prison for “Yumare Massacre” – Up Jobs News

Diosdado Cabello revealed the information on Wednesday night.

The vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabellos, reported that there is already an 18-year prison sentence for Ramón Antonio Rojas, who participated in the “Yumare Massacre.”

Cabellos read the official statement during the broadcast of the program “Con el Mazo Dando”, whose transmission is through the State channel.

The leader said that “this sentence is an act of reparation to the victims of this detestable act towards their families.”

He added that it was also necessary for Rojas to have a sentence as one of the co-authors of the “Cantaura Massacre.”

“This character was one of the ex-combatants of the Antonio José de Sucre guerrilla front, who accepted the so-called pacification, during the first Copeyano government of Rafael Caldera. Called by the revolutionaries of the time: the peace of the tombs. Since those who complied with it, if they did not accept passing themselves off as enemies or informers, they were killed, ”he said.

The Cantaura massacre occurred on October 4, 1982 as a result of a military operation against a certain guerrilla group from the 1980s.
