

LAGRANGE CO.- A traffic stop on Indiana Toll Road resulted in the arrest of three Illinois women after cops discovered drugs and counterfeit money.
On January 13, at approximately 11:27 am, Officer Samuel Waterhouse stopped a red Ford pickup truck for traveling at a slow and unsafe speed in the left lane of Indiana Toll Road near the 112 mile marker, heading east. Waterhouse reported that the Ford was traveling in the left lane at approximately 45 mph in the 70 mph zone.
As Waterhouse spoke to the driver, Nahgeyanna James, 25 of Chicago, IL, smelled the smell of raw marijuana coming from the Ford. This led to a search of the Ford and the discovery of approximately 30 grams of suspected marijuana, one pill suspected to be ecstasy, and 30 counterfeit $100 bills.
James was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
The front seat passenger, identified as Chantay Green, 24 of Illinois, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, fraud and forgery.
The rear seat passenger, identified as Victoria Dowells, 26 of Chicago, IL, was arrested on an active warrant out of Lake County, IN, possession of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance.
James, Green and Dowells were taken to the LaGrange County Jail.
