The Talladega Fire Department is asking for donations for Selma families devastated by the tornado that ripped through Selma on Thursday.
According to Talladega public information officer Mary Sood, “Selma residents are now in the rebuilding phase and need your support.”
Those who wish to help are asked to donate “generators, tarps, wood, feminine hygiene products, toiletries, blankets, first aid kits, batteries, chainsaws and assistance for displaced people in need of housing.”
Donations can be dropped off at the Talladega Fire Station 1 South Street on Monday, January 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Donated items will be delivered by city staff.
