NAPLES, Fla. — This Sunday is the 14th annual Pets on Third event in Naples.
You can head to historic Third Street South to support the Humane Society Naples. There will be a parade with pets dressed as your favorite characters because this year’s theme is Storybook Pets: People and Pets in Books… think Toto and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz!
“We are proud to recognize and promote the great work of the Humane Society Naples,” said Joan Tobin of Napolitan Enterprises.
Some people dress up their animals or even make floats. There is also a pet village with non-profit organizations and pet-related businesses. All proceeds go to the Naples Humane Society. It all starts at 10 am
“Third Street South has always been and always will be pet-friendly, and we love to see our streets filled with a wide variety of pets who enjoy Third Street South as much as we do. We encourage more pet lovers to adopt from responsible nonprofits like the Humane Society Naples,” Tobin said.
You can sign up to walk in the event parade on the day of until 11:45 am The parade begins at noon. The event is hosted by Third Street South and Napolitan Enterprises, and ABC7’s Meagan Miller is this year’s emcee.
