DEXTER, Ky. (KFVS) – After a driver failed to stop at a stop sign, an officer stopped the vehicle and found methamphetamine inside.

On January 14, Samuel Clark, 24, of Benton, Ky., was traveling on Roosevelt Road and ran a stop sign at Radio Road.

According to a statement from the Calloway Co. Sheriff’s Office, Deputy White started the emergency kit and motioned for Clark to pull over. The driver did not stop again, but finally stopped a short time later. Deputy White found Clark in possession of methamphetamine.

Clark was booked into the Calloway County Detention Center on charges of ignoring a stop sign, missing or making an incorrect signal, fleeing or evading police in the second degree, and possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense.
