
A major Louisville freeway is closed in both directions Tuesday morning following a crash involving a truck.
In a Twitter post at 8:10 a.m., TRIMARC said the eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 264 were currently closed at mile marker 22.2, near Brownsboro Road. The shutdown is estimated to last between three and four hours, according to the publication.
In a separate post, the Louisville Metropolitan Police said it was aware of the accident and would provide more information as it is gathered. And in an email, the department said the accident had been reported just before 8 a.m. and involved a truck and a passenger vehicle. Eighth Division officers and traffic unit officers are on the scene along with Louisville Fire and EMS personnel, according to the email, and injuries are reported.
