Humane Pennsylvania is celebrating National Change a Pet’s Life Day with a four-day free adoption event, generously sponsored by Summit Advisory Investment Banking and Fleetwood Bank. Change A Pet’s Life Day was created to encourage people to adopt pets from shelters and to raise awareness for animals in need. From Saturday January 21st to Tuesday, January 24theALL dogs, cats and critters on the Berks and Lancaster county shelter campuses will be free in safe and loving homes.
Adopters who wish to provide a forever home for shelter animals are encouraged to visit shelter campuses or HumanePA.org. All prospective adopters must go through Humane Pennsylvania’s diligent adoption screening process (approval is not guaranteed).
Adoptions include:
- Humane Pennsylvania 30-Day Adoption Health Supplement
- Spay or neuter (before adoption)
- Vaccinations (including current rabies vaccination) and deworming drugs
- flea treatment
- Microchip and chip registration
- Free 1-pound bag of Science Diet pet food
